Did Katy Perry Copy Lady Gaga's Paint-Spewing Act?

Did Katy Perry Copy Lady Gaga ... Again?

Lady Gaga might not be too happy about this.

Footage from Katy Perry's Prismatic Tour uploaded to YouTube last week shows a particular backdrop scene in which Perry puts her finger in her mouth and spews out neon paint. The "Birthday" singer then proceeds to dance in a flood of the liquid as her body becomes covered in colors.

Billboard notes the similarities between Perry's Prismatic paint-spewing and Lady Gaga's controversial South by Southwest performance.

Back in March, Gaga took to the stage during SXSW with "vomit painter" Millie Brown. Brown drank a bottle of green liquid and proceeded to throw up on the "Swine" singer while she played the drums.

On Thursday, May 8, Gaga seemingly slammed Perry for the green wigs and mechanical horse used in her Prismatic show. "It looks like green hair and mechanical horses are the thing now," Gaga wrote on Twitter. The 28-year-old "ARTPOP" star has worn multi-colored wigs before, and rode to the 2013 American Music Awards atop a fake horse.

Lady Gaga has been blunt about quashing any comparison to Perry in the past, as well.

“I don’t know what the fuck-all I have to do with Katy Perry," she said during the SXSW keynote session, per Billboard. "Our music is so completely different. I couldn’t be more different, really. I really don’t fit in pop music in a way, but I came through it and I’d like to think I changed it in some way so you can feel like you don’t have to fit into a mold."
