Sarah Palin Is Once Again Bringing Her Words Of Wisdom To A High School Graduation

Before receiving their diplomas next week, the seniors at New Hope High School in northern Alabama will have the opportunity to hear from a high-profile speaker.

Former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is bringing her words of wisdom to the school's graduation ceremony next Wednesday. Tickets are free but limited, and they'll be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

According to WAFF-TV, the school's principal wrote Palin a letter asking if she would give the commencement speech, and she agreed. AL.com added that Palin is also friends with one of the graduate's grandmothers, which helped strengthen the connection.

"I think she's a perfect role model," local resident Ashley Nelson told WAFF-TV. "She's done everything on her own. She's made her own life, and I think she's someone good to look up to."

Back in June 2013, Palin delivered a commencement address to a small class of graduating seniors at a high school in Republic, Wash. Her message had a 'YOLO' theme, where she told the kids the secret to success was to "get off your butt."
