Brace yourself if you're a Cryer.
CBS announced Wednesday, May 14, that "Two and a Half Men" will officially end after its upcoming 12th season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The final season of the Chuck Lorre comedy, which stars Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher, will air on the network Thursdays this fall at 9 p.m. ET.
Though the series is ending, CBS wants fans to be excited about the upcoming season. At the network's pre-upfront press breakfast in New York, CBS' Nina Tassler said, "Chuck Lorre is creating a season-long event. We did very well last year with announcing final season of 'How I Met You Mother' here, too. Chuck is very psyched about this; he's got some great ideas and very big surprises."
Though ratings have been declining in recent years and are reportedly nowhere near the numbers they were when Charlie Sheen was a part of the show, "Men" is still the longest-running live-action comedy currently in production on broadcast TV.
With the news, it sounds like the stars of the show, Cryer and Kutcher, may soon be out of work, but "Men" fans should try not to worry about them. They can take it. They're men men men men manly men men men.
