Jennifer Lopez's Take On The Jay Z, Solange Incident Was Prophetic (VIDEO)

WATCH: J.Lo's Take On The Jay Z, Solange Incident Was Prophetic

Jennifer Lopez ’s words were prophetic, at least regarding the incident between Jay Z and Solange earlier this month.

After the video of Solange attacking the rapper and mogul in an elevator leaked on May 12, J.Lo weighed in on the incident during an interview with Sirius XM’s “Sway In The Morning.” The Nuyorican, who has faced her share of publicity around private matters, told the radio hosts how she would have dealt with the episode.

In the 3-minute video TMZ posted early last week, Solange is shown arguing and kicking Jay Z as Beyonce passively looked on. The three stars were accompanied by a bodyguard who held back the younger Knowles sister during the altercation that occurred on an elevator at New York City’s Standard Hotel during the Met Gala after-party on May 5.

A day after the video’s leak, Sway In The Morning’s Tracy G. asked Lopez how she’s dealt with so many “ears and eyes” on her private life and how she’d get through situations like what Jay Z and the Knowles sisters were facing.

"You gotta take the high road," J.Lo responded. "In this business, you have to know that that's part of it. Even what happened in that elevator -- they thought they were having a private moment and they weren't, unfortunately. But at the end of the day, you've got to know that that's part of this business, it's that people are going to be interested in those things.”

The singer went even further and detailed how an artist should react in this situation.

“And at the end of the day we're all human, we all fall down, we all make mistakes, we all have moments of not being perfect. It’s just being human,” Lopez continued. “In those moments you just have to take the high road and be honest and take responsibility and go ‘yea this is what happened, what am I going to do? I messed up again, I’m sorry, I’m going to try to do better next time for that you can be sure’."

And it seems that the Knowles-Carter family took a page from J.Lo’s book. On May 15, the trio issued an exclusive statement to The Associated Press concerning the video.

"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it," the statement said. "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

During the interview with Sway, J.Lo also spoke about what keeps her humble and her upcoming album, A.K.A., set to be released on June 17.
