Zoe Saldaña Talks About Dreams Of Directing (VIDEO)

WATCH: Zoe Saldaña Talks About The Type Of Movies She'd Direct

Zoe Saldaña is ready to add something new to her resumé.

The actress arrived at Cannes last week as an ambassador for L’Oreal and took some time to speak to The Hollywood Reporter about her dreams of directing.

In the interview, Saldaña says she’s always admired the British director behind the action classic “Top Gun” and thrillers like “Enemy of the State” and “Man On Fire.”

"I'm a fan of Tony Scott, so it would be awesome if there was a female director who would do Man on Fire-type movies," the star told THR.

Saldaña has yet to sit in the director's chair but the actress is already producing. She not only starred in NBC’s recent adaptation of “Rosemary’s Baby,” but also received a producer credit for the mini-series.

Last August, Zoe took an even bigger step when she and her two sisters’ production company, Cinestar Productions, signed a deal with Lionsgate’s Pantelion studio to develop film and television content for Hispanic audiences.

While fans await Saldaña’s directorial debut, they can catch the star as the highly skilled assassin Gamora in the upcoming superhero film “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
