Conrad Gregor's 1st Home Run Is Caught By His Dad (VIDEO)

WATCH: Baseball Prospect's Homer Is Caught By Dad

A home run is a big moment for any ballplayer, and the first of the season is even bigger. But when that homer is caught by Dad? That's the memory of a lifetime -- and that's just what happened when Astros prospect Conrad Gregor hit a three-run shot on Saturday night.

That homer was caught by his father, Marty. Watch his priceless reaction in the video above.

"I didn't know he was going to be out there," Gregor told MLB.com. "I didn't know at the time that it happened, but after I saw him a lot of people were cheering. I spotted my dad and it was a pretty cool moment. Then I saw it on video after and I just started laughing, and that was really cool that he caught it. Didn't need a glove. Pretty good hands from the old man."

The homer helped the Class A Quad Cities River Bandits to a 5-2 victory over the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, Iowa.

Gregor's parents drove nearly five hours from their home in Carmel, Ind., to attend the game. Of course, since ballplayers are superstitious, the elder Gregor may not be getting a better seat next time he makes the trip.

He may have to watch every game from out there,'' Gregor told the Quad-City Times.

Gregor, 22, was drafted in the fourth round last year, then hit four homers for the Tri-Ctiy ValleyCats, House Of Houston reports.
