The best catches aren't always on the field at a big league ballpark and the folks recording saves aren't only coming out of the bullpen.

Chicago White Sox fan Eileen Depesa made a one-handed grab of a flying bat at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday afternoon that possibly saved a young fan from injury. Depesa made her memorable play when Sox catcher Tyler Flowers lost his grip on his bat while swinging and missing in the second inning.

Depesa's snag drew cheers from the crowd and some kudos from the announcers but she later said she didn't make it for the glory.

"I was more concerned with protecting the baby seated behind me," she told MLB.com's Cut 4.
