Hours After College Massacre, Man Shoots At Women Who Refused Sex: Cops

Hours after an alienated, misogynistic college student murdered six people in Isla Vista, California on Friday, a young man was accused of shooting at three women who refused to have sex with him and his friends.

Elliott Rodger's slayings near UC-Santa Barbara were allegedly fueled by his hatred of women, whom he blamed for a life of “loneliness, rejection, and unfulfilled desires.”

That violence is being compared to a shooting early Saturday morning in Stockton, California where Fox40 reports that 21-year-old Keith Binder fired eight shots at a trio of women who spurned sexual advances from him and his two friends. Their names haven't been released, but their nicknames are "Little D" and "Little Eggy."

When the women refused to have sex, cops say, the men demanded the women leave the home and that's when Binder started firing.

No one was injured by the gunfire.

Binder and his pals are still at large.

Think Progress notes that, the incident took place at 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, "just hours" after Rodger's rampage.

The latest incident helped spur the creation of a new Tumblr, When Women Refuse, that draws "attention to the fact that misogynist miscreants like Rodger and Binder are not anomalies — they are just particularly high-profile versions of an ongoing story in which violence is inflicted on women who reject sexual advances," according to Policy Mic's Lauren Davidson.

The Tumblr has already amassed dozens of stories since its creation this weekend.
