President Barack Obama already has a prehistoric lizard species and a trapdoor spider named after him. Now, he can add a white tiger cub to the roster.
One in the first litter of white tiger quintuplets in all of Europe, cub Obama is the only male in the litter. The other adorable cubs are called Lila, Lulu, Lela and Lali.
Despite the wonder of seeing five healthy white tigers born at once, the UCLA Center for Society and Genetics notes that these animals often suffer from numerous genetic problems. The white color of these tigers' coats is created through inbreeding, which studies suggest lead to these issues.
