New Jersey Senate Primary: Jeff Bell Wins Republican Nomination

Ex-Reagan Aide Wins Primary To Challenge Cory Booker

New Jersey Republicans have selected GOP operative Jeff Bell to challenge Cory Booker for his U.S. Senate seat, the Associated Press reports.

Bell, a former aide to Ronald Reagan, defeated three other Republicans to secure the nomination. He will face off against Booker, who was elected to the seat last fall in a special election to replace the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D).

Booker had no competition in Tuesday's primary.
