U.S. Soccer Star Injured Early

U.S. striker Jozy Altidore suffered a left hamstring injury during the frenetic first half of the team's opening match in the 2014 World Cup against Ghana. In the 21st minute, Altidore pulled up during an attacking run and immediately appeared to be in pain. The sight of the 24-year-old forward lying on the grass at Estadio das Dunas in Natal on Monday changed the mood for the U.S. team after Clint Dempsey's early goal created an early 1-0 advantage.
