Debt could be taking a toll on more than your bank account. An abundance of research shows how it can also have negative effects on the body and mind.
That's troubling news, considering indebted U.S. households have an average credit card debt of $15,191, mortgage debt of $154,365 and student loan debt of $33,607, according to NerdWallet.
