Donald Faison Turned 21 On 'Clueless' Set, Cast Took Him Out For First Round Of 'Legal Drinks'

Classic '90s flick "Clueless" may have been Donald Faison's big break, but the film remains memorable to the "Scrubs" star for one other reason.

"I was 20 years old when I did the movie. When it came out -- I turned 21 the week before it came out, and [co-stars] Breckin Meyer, Alicia Silverstone and Paul Rudd took me out for my first legal drink," he told HuffPost Live's Nancy Redd in a Tuesday interview.

The evening would have been a night to remember, but it's all foggy for Faison.

"I don't know how I got home that night," he continued. "All I remember was -- I think Alicia drove me home that night."

The 40-year-old actor noted that his 21st birthday was one of the few occasions where the cast really let loose. On set, they maintained a much more professional demeanor.

"['Clueless'] was the jump-off for a lot of us," he said. "It wasn't like we were acting a fool or anything. We were very much into making this movie and knowing that Paramount was behind it, and the creator and director of 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' was directing it and she wrote it -- [it was] Amy Heckerling -- we wanted to make sure we did a good job, so we didn't wild out."

Faison found success post-"Clueless" in the long-running comedy series "Scrubs," in which he starred opposite Zach Braff. He can be seen in Braff's Kickstarter-funded film "Wish I Was Here," which is set for release on Friday, July 18.
