Actress Marin Ireland Feels 'Awkward' Watching Tony Goldwyn's 'Scandal' Sex Scenes

Why This Actress Can't Handle All Those Sex Scenes On 'Scandal'

Actors Tony Goldwyn and Marin Ireland stopped by HuffPost Live on Tuesday to discuss their new show, "The Divide," and Ireland emphatically revealed she’s a fan of Goldwyn’s other show, "Scandal."

But the actress added one caveat -- she cannot handle all those sex scenes.

“I do have to say, the more I got to know Tony, the more awkward it was for me to watch the show then in my free time,” Ireland told host Ricky Camilleri.

“I was watching it and then I’d show up to set and be like, ‘Tony, how do your daughters watch the show because I’m starting to feel really uncomfortable about it,'" she said. "So I had to take a little break while we were shooting.”

For those who don’t mind the steamy sex scenes on “Scandal,” Goldwyn, who plays Olivia Pope’s on-again, off-again beau President Fitzgerald Grant, looked forward to starting to shoot Season 4 of the show.

The actor weighed in on the Season 3 finale and (in case you haven’t gotten around to watching the finale -- SPOILER ALERT!) speculated that Fitz would not be happy about Olivia’s choice to leave with Jake.

“My guess is that he won’t know it’s Jake and he’ll think something bad has happened,” Goldwyn said. “And he will do everything in his power to either save her, protect her, [or] get her back. And if he finds out it’s Jake, I think he’ll go ballistic,” he laughed.
