GOP Rep. Michael Grimm Having Trouble Staffing Office

Help Wanted For Michael Grimm

Scandal-ridden Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) is having trouble recruiting staff to work in his congressional office, according to a Wednesday email obtained by Politico.

In the email, Deputy Chief of Staff Blaire Bartlett, who's looking for a health and education legislative assistant, says that “as you can imagine it hasn’t been easy to find a qualified candidate who wants to live on the edge and take a chance working for Rep. Grimm.”

“Ideally this person would have legislative experience. Hill experience would be great and NYC experience would be amazing, but beggars can’t be choosers, right?” she adds.

In January, Grimm threatened to throw an NY1 reporter off a Capitol balcony after President Barack Obama's State of the Union address.

Grimm, who has also pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of fraud, was all the rage at a recent Sweet 16 party, though.

Grimm faces former New York City Councilman Domenic Recchia (D) in the November general election.
