Dad Jason Browning Said He Almost Killed Son's Abuser Before Son Saved Man's Life

Dad Said He Almost Killed Son's Abuser Before His Son Stepped In

A father said his son is the real hero after stopping him from killing his 11-year-old's alleged sexual abuser.

Jason Browning previously told police he went berserk after claiming he discovered 18-year-old Raymond Frolander in his Daytona Beach, Florida home molesting his son on Friday.

according to CNN, Browning called 911 and told the operator he had beaten Frolander until he was "nice and knocked out."

Browning told WKMG on Monday that he got a knife from the kitchen and would have killed Frolander if his son hadn't stepped in.

"My son is the one who stepped in front of me and stopped me," Browning said. "My son saved his attacker's life, so who's really the hero in this situation?"

CNN has more from the night of the alleged attack:

The father says that when he got home, the look on Frolander's face made him think something was wrong. The father says Frolander's pants fell down to his ankles "and nothing else needed to be said" when he saw exposed genitals.

According to the charging affidavit, the 11-year-old told authorities that Frolander had performed oral sex on him and instructed the boy to fondle him. The document says the boy told authorities that Frolander began abusing him a few years ago. It also says Frolander told police, "I'm guilty."

The Atlanta Daily World reports that authorities have said Browning will not face any charges.

Frolander also allegedly told sheriff's deputies he had repeatedly abused the boy over a three-year period.

He faces a charge of sexual battery of a child and is in the Volusia County Jail.
