Iowa Community Tells Folks To 'Wipe Local' And Buy Toilet Paper In Town To Boost Economy

An Iowa community's campaign urging residents to buy toilet paper locally was bound to be the butt of jokes.

In its own take on the initiative (above), WTFark! goes on a roll.

But to the Eldridge-North Scott area, it's serious business. The "Shop, Stay and Wipe Local" drive could boost the area economy by $677,000, according to one estimate. That's a lot of scratch. (Or not, if everyone is wiping properly.)
