YouTube Star Surprises Parents, Makes Good On Promise To Pay Off Their Mortgage

WATCH: YouTube Star Makes Good On Promise To Parents

YouTube star Timothy DeLaGhetto has a reputation for slightly raunchy videos about sex, meeting girls and naughty humor.

This makes the video he uploaded Monday, in which he pays off his parent's mortgage, so much more meaningful. In sharp contrast to his usual videos about twerking and bad pickup lines, Timothy sits his parents down and makes good on a childhood promise to give back after their years of supporting him.

"My family and my parents are a big part of who I am as a person, and why I do what I do," Timothy says in a brief intro to the video. "I get my sense of humor from them, and I'm just so grateful that they've raised me with so much love and such open minds."

"They work so hard, and ever since I was a little kid, I made a promise ... to my dad and my mom [saying], 'I know I may not be a doctor or a lawyer, but trust me, I'm going to do this ... and I'm going to be successful, and I promise you, I'm going to pay off the house.'"

Thanks in part to his 2 million subscribers and 700 million video views on YouTube, and in part to smart investments, that day finally came. As you'd expect, the resulting video is a tear-jerker.

After the grand reveal, the family shares a hug, and Tim's mother breaks into tears. His father, showing some of that trademark family humor, cracks a smile and asks, "And what about grandchildren?"

In an interview with the Daily Dot, Timothy said his parents own a Thai restaurant and might actually get to relax a bit, now that they don't have a mortgage to worry about. "They were telling me they might even close the restaurant for an additional day to just chill," he said.
