Ann Coulter's message to the American doctor who contracted Ebola from helping patients in Africa: that was "idiotic!"

Dr. Kent Brantly returned to the United States for treatment, and is currently in isolation at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. In a column published Wednesday, Coulter chastised the doctor for allegedly costing the charity he was serving money to fly him back and provide care.

The conservative commentator wondered why he couldn't just help people in the United States, instead going all the way to Africa where he would run the risk of contracting yucky illnesses. Here's a sampling:

"If he had provided health care for the uninsured editors, writers, videographers and pundits in Gotham and managed to open one set of eyes, he would have done more good than marinating himself in medieval diseases of the Third World."
