Derek Jeter Passes Honus Wagner For Sixth Place On MLB's All-Time Hits List (VIDEO)

WATCH: Derek Jeter Notches Another Milestone

Move over, Honus Wagner. The Captain is coming through.

Derek Jeter took over sole possession of sixth place on the all-time hits list with his career 3,431 hit. The New York Yankees' shortstop had tied the Hall of Famer known as "The Flying Dutchman" for sixth place on Friday. With the Yankees hosting the Cleveland Indians in the Bronx on Saturday, Jeter singled in the bottom of the sixth inning for his milestone hit.

With Jeter planning on retiring at the end of the 2014 season, Wagner is likely the last legend that Jeter will pass on the all-time hits list. In fifth place, Tris Speaker has 3,514 career hits.
