This is not a war-riddled country. This is not a far-away conflict zone. This is Ferguson, Missouri. A city reeling from the shooting death of Michael Brown at the hands of police.
The killing of Brown, a black teenager who was unarmed and shot six times by a white police officer, has led to a weeks worth of protests, riots and rage within the community. As of Monday morning, The Missouri National Guard was deployed to Ferguson to quell the unrest. These images were taken in the past 48-hours and they paint a terrifying picture.
