Taco Bell is taking a page out of McDonald's playbook and debuting a dollar menu. According to Taco Bell, "A dollar never tasted so good."
The "Dollar Cravings" menu kicked off Monday, August 18 and it currently offers 11 items-- some new, while others have already been on the menu for some time.
Ranging from a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito to a Caramel Apple Empanada (the complete list can be seen here), Bloomberg reported that certain Taco Bell restaurants tested out the menu last year. With the introduction of a new breakfast menu and an all-paleo "Cantina Power Menu" earlier this year, Taco Bell is making big moves this year to please consumers.
Though dollar menus typically offer an enticing decrease in price for certain items, multiple sources have pointed out that specific items on the "Dollar Cravings" menu are now actually more expensive.
Regardless of an increase in price, most fans of Taco Bell seem pretty happy to usher in this "new era" of dining at the fast food joint:
So thankful I have tomorrow off🙌 Taco Bell starts the new dollar cravings menu AND grillers are still a dollar from 2-5.
