This Version Of 'Girls just Want Have Fun' Is The Stuff Of Nightmares

Normally when Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" comes on you want to get out the sparkles and lipstick and have a night on the town with the ladies.

But when Chase Holfelder gets his hands (or rather, his vocal cords) on the classic, the effect is quite different.

When Holfelder changes the song from a major to minor key, the melody sounds so foreboding it makes us wonder, "Do girls really just want to have fun?"

The video is part of a series in which Holfelder takes happy songs in a major key and converts them to sad songs in a minor key. Check out this very depressing version of the "Star-Spangled Banner" here.
