7-Year-Old Fighting Cancer Has Completely Appropriate Reaction To Learning He Can Go Home

Hospitals aren't usually places for loud celebrations, but when you get good news, you have to live it up.

Seven-year-old Avery Harriman, son of University of Nebraska assistant basketball coach Chris Harriman, spent most of August in the hospital receiving intensive chemotherapy. It's his third time fighting cancer, CBS Sports notes, and the fight might not be over yet.

But for a few days, at least, his doctors gave him the OK to be at home with his family, and his response was appropriately screechy.

After having alerted the entire hospital to his excitement, he jumps on the bed and flings himself into a woman's arms.

It's a brief respite, but it's clearly a very welcome one. Stay strong, Avery.
