NBC News Reportedly Pays For Matt Lauer's Helicopter Rides

NBC News Pays For Matt Lauer's WHAT!?

NBC News apparently really, really wants to make sure Matt Lauer sticks around.

Page Six reported Thursday that NBC News chiefs pay for Lauer's helicopter rides to the Hamptons and back to work so that he can spend more vacation time with his family.

A source told Page Six that NBC News will do "everything to keep Matt happy." This includes flying him to and from his massive farm and $15 million mansion in Water Mill, which he purchased in 2012. (NBC told the gossip column that this only happens on rare occasions, but it's quite the nice perk.)

The agreement is said to be part of his contract with "Today," which he renewed in June while "Today" attempts claw its way back to the top top of the ratings heap.

Of course, the "Today" co-host doesn't really need his helicopter rides paid for, seeing as he's one of the highest paid news hosts in the business.

Regardless of how he gets there, Lauer can surely be spotted strolling in his own indoor horse facility with his wife and kids, possibly running into neighbors Jimmy Fallon and the Kardashians.
