The mother of Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams, Sandra Hill, passed away earlier this year from a decades-long battle with breast cancer. Hill's son decided to honor her during Carolina's season opener.

Williams dyed his recognizable dreadlocks with shades of pink, and painted his toenails, too.

In addition to his mother, Williams also lost four aunts to breast cancer. Williams is one of the most ardent supporters of the NFL's Pink initiative, and he's set up a foundation in his name dedicated to fighting the disease.
