Andreja Pejic, Transgender Model, Launches Kickstarter Campaign For Documentary

A new documentary is in the works that chronicles the journey of transgender supermodel Andreja Pejic.

Pejic's tale will explore the trajectory of her life from growing up in a Serbian refugee camp to walking some of the biggest runways around the globe -- as well as her transition to living as her authentic self. In order to make this project a reality, Pejic has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the film.

“This is a powerful part of an immensely courageous journey, we need to film this!” Eric, filmmaker and friend of Pejic, said about the supermodel on the project's Kickstarter page. “Your story is so unique. It has the potential to reach so many and to help millions of young people around the world. You need to do this! You know how many trans people (and people in general) are out there hiding, forced to live as someone they are not. You could give them hope by going public about this.”
