Benedict Cumberbatch And His Bare Chest Want You To Give Your Clothes To Charity

So, here’s the deal: Benedict Cumberbatch will pose shirtless for you, but you’re going to have to do something in return.

The "Star Trek Into Darkness" star recently recreated the "Pride and Prejudice" scene in which Mr. Darcy (played by Colin Firth in 1995 adaptation) dives into a lake fully clothed. In Cumberbatch’s black and white portrait, he stands waist deep with his shirt nearly completely unbuttoned, but it’s not just so you can take a good hard look at his pecs.

It's also part of a celebrity photo series that’s raising awareness for T.K. Maxx’s Give Up Clothes for Good campaign, the Independent reported.

This year marks a decade since T.K. Maxx developed a partnership with Give Up Clothes for Good and Cancer Research UK. When supporters donate clothes and housewares to T.K. Maxx stores, those items are then sold at Cancer Research UK shops to raise funds.

In the past 10 years, the initiative has raised 17.7 million British pounds (more than $28 million), and 13.2 million British pounds (more than $21 million) has been dedicated to help fund research into children’s cancers, according to T.K. Maxx's website.

A number of other celebrities, including Kate Winslet, Liam Neeson, Elijah Wood and Cynthia Nixon, have posed for the campaign and will be featured at a showcase at La Galleria Pall Mall in London through Sept. 20.

Now, if only we could find an otter that resembles this Mr. Darcy expression.
