Man Races The Subway To Its Next Stop, And We're Exhausted Just Watching

WATCH: Man Races Subway

This commuter made his own rush hour.

A man on the London Underground raced his train from one subway stop to the next to prove that traveling by foot can be faster, the Telegraph reported.

Watch above as James Heptonstall, a 30-year-old environmental consultant from Hampstead, sprints from the Tube at Mansion House to Cannon Street station. The distance is reportedly 380 meters, but that includes 75 stair steps and two ticket barriers, according to the now-viral YouTube video, posted Aug. 12.

Heptonstall recorded his frantic sprint under- and above-ground with a Go Pro camera on his head, while a friend stayed in the Tube to make the same journey and film Heptonstall's arrival.

So can man defeat public transit? Watch and find out.
