Memo to baseball fans: Caps are for wearing, not for catching.
This Atlanta Braves fan learned that the hard way when a foul ball plunked him right in the nose during Wednesday's game at Turner Field in Atlanta. As the video above shows, he held his hat overhead with two hands to catch the ball but got a face full of cowhide. Ouch.
"He just turned himself into a bobblehead," one announcer can be heard saying.
The Braves fared better on the field, defeating the Washington Nationals, 3-1, to snap a five-game losing streak.
