Vanilla Ice To Rick Scott: Yo, VIP, Let's Kick It

Rick Scott's Newest Friend Rocks The Mic Like A Vandal

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) has made an unlikely friend in Rob Van Winkle, more commonly known as rapper Vanilla Ice.

The men bumped into each other at the 47th Governor's Conference on Tourism, which took place in Boca Raton on Monday.

Ice tweeted about the meeting late Monday night:

Here I am with Gov. Rick Scott celebrating the beautiful state of Florida. #CC14 pic.twitter.com/zX11zaNUfM

That's when Ice learned it's tough tweeting about politics. On Tuesday, he reassured his followers his appearance with the governor was not politically motivated, but about how "beautiful" Florida can be.

This event was not about elections, it's about Florida tourism which is why we can all come together and enjoy beautiful Florida

I don't take sides in politics, I always "say best man for the job"

But alas, Ice dug his hole even deeper with his non-political tweets. He quickly pulled a very political move by clarifying he's not sexist:

I don't take sides in politics, I always "say best man or woman for the job"

No word on whether Ice has political aspirations, though he did retweet someone who said "vanilla ice for president," so you never know.
