Disney World's Dapper Dans Sing 'Let It Go' To Celebrate New Southwest Flight To Orlando

You're On A Flight To Orlando When This Happens

Passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight from Dallas to Orlando got some Disney treats this week in celebration of the opening of a new air route between the two cities.

The Dapper Dans, the barbershop quartet more commonly found serenading tourists on Main Street USA in Disney World, sang tunes such as "Let It Go" and "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" to passengers aboard the inaugural flight.

Passengers were given Disney snacks such as Mickey rice crispy treats. They also got the traditional mouse ears, while a Jungle Cruise skipper also served as an "honorary flight attendant."

The big celebration was due to the expiration of the Wright Amendment, which restricted flights out of Dallas' Love Field. With its expiration this week, Southwest was able to start direct service to Orlando.

"This literally took an act of Congress," Southwest Airlines chief executive officer Gary Kelly, who worked the gate scanning tickets, told the Star-Telegram. "Do you all know what that is like?"

Southwest wasn't alone in celebrating the end of the Wright Amendment.

Virgin America also expanded operations out of Love, with Richard Branson in attendance and Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves performing for passengers:
