'Food Baby NY' Instagram Account Is The Perfect Combination Of Cute And Delicious

Cute Baby + Delicious Food = Instagram Gold

New York City dad Mike Chau loves good meals, photography, and his adorable 1-year-old son Matthew. When he decided to combine these interests, an Instagram sensation was born.

Chau's Instagram account Food Baby NY is a simple concept -- the dad takes pictures of the mouthwatering food he eats, with baby Matthew prominently featured in the background. The result is an drool-worthy mixture of cute and delicious.

"I was always 'one of those' that took pictures of my food," Chau told The Huffington Post in an email. "Then, once we had Matty, he overtook food as my most photographed subject. During our first week home, the pictures of just takeout food and just a sleeping baby started to get old, so I thought it would be fun and funny to incorporate them both into the same shot, and I was hooked from there."

The new dad isn't the only one who's hooked. Food Baby NY has over 6,000 followers. From Matthew's spot-on facial reactions to the "creatively placed food hats" his dad arranges over his head, each photo is Insta-gold. "My favorite ones are when he has a reaction to the food placed in front of him that mirrors our actual reaction to the quality of the dish, Chau said.

From his Instagram photos, you can tell that Food Baby NY has excellent taste in New York City eateries, but Chau says his son's diet is pretty standard 1-year-old fare. "Aside from breastmilk and milk, he loves to snack on Cheerios and pretzels and mostly enjoys fruits like bananas and peaches." He's also recently started tasting some of the food he poses with for Instagram.

Mike Chau hopes his son's palate will continue to expand as he gets older and that perhaps baby Matty will grow up to be a bonafide foodie too.

Below is only a sample of the over 1,000 doubly delicious photos from Food Baby NY. We can't figure out it's the adorable baby or the amazing food that's making us salivate.
