Man Hurls Chihuahua At Window After Being Banned From Starbucks: Cops

A Chihuahua in Houston is recovering after being thrown into a Starbucks window.

Police say Larry McHale, 46, hurled the small dog at the window around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Click 2 Houston. McHale had allegedly been yelling and throwing bottles in the parking lot before throwing the dog.

"It was so loud, the window sounded like it was going to break," Starbucks manager Jasmine Hyder told KHOU. "He's like, 'You don't care about humans. You only care about a dog.'"

McHale had been banned from the Starbucks for three months. Hyder told the station it was because he “harasses customers” and “comes in and starts chaos.”

McHale was charged with animal cruelty. Authorities aren’t sure whether the chihuahua belonged to him, but veterinary technicians and volunteers who are treating the dog have named her “Starbucks.”

The chihuahua’s broken back leg and will need about $1,000 in medical treatment. Those interested in donating to her or to other animals in need can do so at Frisky Paws Rescue.
