Man Allegedly Murders 2 Women, Can't Recall Why

A Colorado man accused of murder says that he is sorry, but can't remember the argument that led him to gun down his roommate and her friend, according to court documents.

Jose Gabriel King, 22, was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly shot the two women with a .45-caliber handgun at a Denver apartment.

On Friday, the Denver coroner identified the victims as Amanda J. Anders, 19, and Nancy Worrell, 22, according to 9NEWS. Police say that King and Anders were roommates.

Residents of the apartment building called 911 after they heard gunshots late Wednesday night. Police say that King fled after the shooting to find his father, saying that he needed to apologize, according to CBS Denver. The father also contacted police.

According to the Denver Post:

King told a Castle Rock police officer who arrested him after spotting the half-naked man driving around in a sports utility vehicle that he had "done a bad thing tonight." King told the officer to arrest him and take him to jail.

King was being held on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder.
