Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) defeated Democrat Joe Bock in the state's 2nd District on Tuesday.
Though former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney won the district by 14 points in 2012, President Barack Obama beat Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) there in 2008, leading national Democrats to put Bock's campaign on their radar.
In her campaign, Walorski highlighted times that she had worked across party lines, perhaps in recognition that her district's voters would prefer the bipartisan aspects of her record.
