Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) was re-elected to Congress in Louisiana's 1st congressional district on Tuesday.
Scalise, who was elected House majority whip in June, was first elected to Congress in 2008. He defeated Democrats Lee Dugas and Vinny Mendoza as well as Jeff Sanford, a Libertarian party candidate.
