Ted Cruz Still Won't Endorse Mitch McConnell For Senate Majority Leader

Ted Cruz Still Won't Back Mitch McConnell

Ted Cruz refused to say whether or not he would support Mitch McConnell for Senate majority leader even after his party secured control of both chambers on Tuesday night.

Appearing on CNN, Cruz (R-Texas) was discussing the midterm election results when Wolf Blitzer asked if he would get behind McConnell (R-Ky.).

"That will be a decision for the conference to make next week," Cruz said.

Blitzer pressed the Texas senator on the issue, but he stayed mum.

Cruz also remained tight-lipped about his support for the Kentucky senator in an interview with The Washington Post that was published on Sunday.

Pundits have speculated that Cruz may be considering vying for the seat himself.
