Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) defeated Democratic challenger Randall Olsen and was re-elected to Congress in Illinois' 16th congressional on Tuesday.
Kinzinger, a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, was first elected to Congress in 2010. He was widely expected to easily defeat Olsen, who served two decades in the Air Force as an X-ray tech and nuclear medicine tech.
