Fusion Host On Joni Ernst: 'We All Want To See Her Go To Congress And Chop Their Balls Off'

Even before Republican Joni Ernst clinched a victory over Democrat Bruce Braley in a key Iowa Senate contest Tuesday, Fusion's Alicia Menendez had a colorful assessment of Ernst's potential impact on Congress.

In viewing a viral clip of retiring Sen. Tom Harkin praising Ernst's looks, Menendez first noted that Ernst, who was offended by the politician's remarks, handled the comments gracefully. Then she pointed out that a victory by Ernst, who earned extra publicity with an ad that mentioned her experience castrating hogs, would be a big deal.

“She’s going to be the first woman to represent Iowa in the U.S. Senate, and she’s going to be seen by many as a rising star within the GOP," she told Fusion hosts Nando Vila and Kal Penn. "And we all want to see her go to Congress and chop their balls off.”

That's one way of putting it.
