Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D-Ill.) was re-elected to Congress in the state's 3rd congressional district on Tuesday, defeating Republican Sharon Brannigan.
Lipinski, who was first elected to Congress in 2004, ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.
