Tony Cardenas Wins Another Term In Congress

Rep. Tony Cardenas (D-Calif.) was re-elected to another term representing California's 29th District on Tuesday, defeating Republican William Leader.

Prior to his election to the House in 2012, Cardenas served in the California State Assembly as well as on the Los Angeles City Council.

Cardenas is one of the House's leading immigration reform advocates. Earlier this year, he attempted to add funding for comprehensive reform to a Republican-backed budget bill, but the amendment was killed in committee.
