Ariana Grande And Jessie J. To Remake 'The Boy Is Mine': Will It Live Up To The Hype?

Will Ariana Grande And Jessie J. Deliver On 'The Boy Is Mine' Remake?

This week Grammy Award-winning producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins stirred up a bit of interest surrounding his upcoming 20-year anniversary in the music industry next year.

In an interview with Hits Daily Double, Jerkins revealed his plans to produce a covers album featuring the likes of Sam Smith and his rendition of Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right It’s Okay” and pairing Ariana Grande and Jessie J. to record a new version of Brandy and Monica’s classic 1998 single “The Boy Is Mine.”

And while Jerkins' idea to revamp the notable hit, which garnered a Grammy win in 1999 for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal , may seem like a no-brainer to some, others are quoting a portion of the track’s famous chorus, “you need to give it up!”

With that said, we asked for your thoughts, feelings and opinions on Ariana Grande and Jessie J's forthcoming collaboration. Here are some of the responses we received:
