In the beloved series, "Sex and the City," Carrie Bradshaw's love and sex "advice columns" frequently featured her "I couldn't help but wonder" musings. Looking back at those queries, though, we can't help but wonder how exactly Carrie got a gig writing a sex column.
Her questions typically summed up her current romantic fiasco, and ranged from silly to kind of nonsensical. And while the classic show may have taught us about the 'Bunny' vibrator, Carrie's journalism just left us with a big giant question mark. To remedy that, here are answers to some of the silliest questions ever asked by the ever-curious Carrie Bradshaw:
1. "Do women just wanna be rescued?"
On behalf of princesses in towers everywhere, we'd like to say: "We're OK, thanks."
2. "Do you have to play games to make a relationship work?"
[Season Two, Episode 13]
Unless it's board game night, playing games with your significant other is generally a terrible idea.
3. "Are men just women with balls?"
Sorry, that's not how anatomy works.
4. "When it comes to matters of the heart, did we have it right in high school?"
If making out in a cramped, parked car sounds like your idea of romantic bliss, then yes, we "had it right in high school." Otherwise, probably not.
5. "In a city like New York, with it's infinite possibilities, has monogamy become too much to expect?"
No, your expectations have just sunk infinitely low.
6. "Is cheating like the proverbial tree in the forest? That it doesn't exist if there's no one around to catch you?"
This only works if you're a skeezy college philosophy major.
7. "Was New York really any different from New Delhi? Had our class system been replaced by a caste system? And if so, can we date outside our caste?"
Yikes. New York and New Delhi are definitely different, and this question has definitely made everybody uncomfortable.
8. "Can you get to a future if your past is present?"
This question just broke time and clocks everywhere.
When you use a condom or other forms of recommended birth control, it's mostly safe, yes.
10. "What comes first, the chicken or the sex?"
11. "When you sleep with someone, are you screwing the family?"
12. "In a relationship, is honesty really the best policy?"
13. "When a relationship dies do we ever really give up the ghost or are we forever haunted by the spirits of relationships past?"
14. "Does a string of bad dates really equal one good one?”
[Season three, Episode 17, "What Goes Around Comes Around"]
Here, Carrie's logic equals wishful thinking.
15. "Is there such thing as relationship karma?"
If relationship karma existed, wouldn't Big have died alone?
