Ingrid Bergman Gave Daughter Isabella Rossellini An Illustrated Lesson In Sex

Getting the sex talk from your parents is always an interesting experience, but that's even more true when your parents are Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini.

Isabella Rossellini, the daughter of that power couple and a Hollywood icon in her own right, is presently talking about sex for a living in her one-woman show "Green Porno," and she still remembers learning about the topic from her famous mom and dad.

"My parents were very open, and so they explained it to me very early on. Whether I understood it or not, I'm not sure, because I thought my father was pregnant for a while, so I must have gotten something wrong," Rossellini told HuffPost Live's Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani on Wednesday. "My father had a big belly, he was fat, so I thought he might be pregnant. So there's something I didn't understand right away."

But it all became clear when Bergman gave her daughter an illustrated primer.

"We talked about it openly, and then when I made so much confusion about it all, I remember my mother sitting ... and drawing little drawings and explaining to me," she said.
