Tim Tebow And 'GMA' Pay Off Layaway Bills For Shoppers, Spread Holiday Cheer Like Pros

Tim Tebow can still win over a crowd.

The former Heisman Trophy winner teamed up with "Good Morning America" to pay off the layaway bills for stunned shoppers at an Orlando, Florida, Walmart Sunday.

Customer Damara Jarrett told Tebow, now a "GMA" correspondent, that she had lost her car and was a full-time student who had missed work. She put gifts on layaway for her two small children. When Tebow informed her that "GMA" would foot the bill, she cried and hugged him.

Florida is Tebow's home state, so it was no surprise that one customer had a particularly strong reaction when she recognized him. "Oh snap," Jasmine Nunes said. "Shut the front door."

After Tebow revealed her payments were covered, Nunes' response was priceless. "Shut up!" she said with delight. "Oh my God. Thank you."

It may have been the sweetest "shut up" Tebow ever heard.

"GMA" was touring the country to surprise shoppers by settling up their layaway accounts. The segment above aired Monday.
