Charges Dropped Against Teacher Accused Of Sex With Students

Prosecutors in Southern California have dropped charges against a San Bernardino teacher who was accused of sexually abusing students.

Amy Corinne Bramlett, 46, faced sex abuse charges in September after two boys leveled shocking accusations at the Indian Springs High School teacher. Charges against Bramlett included oral copulation of a child under age 18 and penetration with a foreign object.

But prosecutors announced on Monday that they have dropped all charges against Bramlett, citing insufficient evidence. The two minors in the case recanted their accusations in November, according to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

Bramlett's attorney, Michael Scafiddi, approached prosecutors with additional evidence shortly after charges were filed against the teacher.

"Today, Ms. Bramlett, all her supporters, myself, and everyone who knew Amy and knew that this could not have happened are grateful that our district attorney’s office did what they are supposed to do in seeking justice and dismissed these charges," Scafiddi said Monday, following a hearing in San Bernardino Superior Court.
