NeNe Leakes Keeps Assuring Teresa Giudice That She's 'Going To Be Fine' In Prison

Time's running out before Teresa Giudice has to serve her prison sentence for fraud, but NeNe Leakes is doing everything she can to keep her friend's spirits up.

"We have our own little text thing going on. We talk," Leakes told HuffPost Live's Caitlyn Becker in a Tuesday interview.

The communication between the two Bravo stars usually includes conciliatory words for the New Jersey housewife, who's visibly in a rough spot.

Leakes recounted:

I always say to her, though, "You have to just live your life." ... I say to Teresa, "You're going to be fine." If she says something, I always say, "You're going to be fine, and when you're done, you're gonna get out and start your life all back over again and this is gonna be it. We're almost at the end of the road, you have to go in a few weeks." When she leaves in a few weeks, I'm like, "This is the beginning of your new life because ... you paid the price, you can start your life."

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star hopes she'll be able to continue offering Giudice support -- and some of her signature catchphrases -- even when she's in jail.

"I know she needs me to send her a 'bloop' and a 'thirst is real' little conversations so she can bust out laughing," she said.

Leakes also mentioned that Giudice has been shy in the wake of her sentencing, having backed out of attending the opening night of Leakes in "Cinderella" on Broadway.

"She wanted to come premiere night, and it was sold out and it was just going to be a lot going on, and so she said, 'Maybe I shouldn't come on premiere night,' because it was just going to be a big night with a lot of press and stuff like that," Leakes recalled.

Giudice caught the show at a later date when she visited Leakes backstage and posted a picture to Instagram of the two ladies looking chipper with Giudice's four daughters.
