It may have been dubbed "Quiet Corner Christmas," but this Brooklyn, Connecticut home is anything but demure.
Chris Lambert decked his festive abode this year in about 55,000 sparkling lights that are set to shine with some unconventional holiday tunes, according to WFSB. The more than 30-minute display includes such catchy songs as a high school’s rendition of Meghan Trainor’s latest hit, but this version is known as “All About The Lights.”
But mesmerized onlookers aren’t just treated to a dazzling show. Lambert has dedicated his display to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)-- a nonprofit that supports injured servicemen and servicewomen.
WWP offers a variety of programs to empower its community and has helped secure jobs for roughly 10,000 veterans through its Warriors to Work initiative, according to the organization.
Since adding a charitable component to his annual displays in 2008, Lambert has collected more than $23,000 for a number of groups, according to WFSB.
Locals are just as appreciative of the bright show as they are of the opportunity to give back.
"Thanks for collecting for our brave men and women!" Facebook user Lisa Carlson wrote on the "Quiet Corner Christmas" page. "What a great idea to bring the season of giving into everyone's hearts!!"
