Before You Go

1
Google Chromecast
It's safe to say that Google's Chromecast has been something of a hit. The £25 streaming stick will turn any TV with a HDMI port into a 'Smart TV' by letting you 'cast' Netlflix, BBC iPlayer and more from your iPhone or Android phone to the TV. Using a powerful built-in WiFi antenna Chromecast then streams the content directly so you'll never use up battery on your phone or tablet.
2
Nerf Modulus
The NERF Modulus is quite simply the ultimate in toy-based warfare. You simply buy the starter gun for £32.69 and then start adding attachments. You'd think that a NERF gun was a too childish for a teen and yet the Huff Post office has been consumed by a foam-based conflict ever since.
3
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
Amazon's revamped Paperwhite is its best yet. While it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the Voyage it is light, durable and strikes the perfect balance of price/value at £109.99. The screen's brightness has been tweaked to perfection as well make it perfect for reading either in bed or in broad daylight. The ultimate student companion.
4
Star Wars BB-8 Sphero
At this point, we almost don't need to say anything about it, however we will. Robotics company Sphero have created their very own version of the iconic droid BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Controlled via a smartphone app, this pesky little droid is as adorable as it is a joy to use. Is it useful for anything? Of course not, but that's not the point because just look at it.
5
LEGO: Poe's X-Wing Fighter
If you grew up using LEGO then there's one universal truth that you're going to know which is that you are NEVER too old to play with LEGO. With this in mind we can happily recommend this outstanding recreation of Poe Dameron's X-Wing starfighter from the new Star Wars film. You even get a mini version of BB-8!
6
Sony PlayStation 4
There has never been a better time to buy a PS4, if you don't believe us just head to Amazon and look at the price. You can grab yourself a next-generation console for under £300, not only that but you're getting a media centre that can play Spotify, Blu-Rays, Sky TV and Netflix to mention just a few.
